The Council’s Annual Residents Survey is now under way.
Every year we contact residents across the district to ask their views on how we’re performing. This is an important way for us to monitor our performance across a range of services like parks, roads, water, libraries and swimming pools.
This year we’re also asking some questions about gambling and ‘pokie’ machines in Selwyn, to help with a review of our Gambling Policy.
Around 400 Selwyn households will be asked to participate in the survey via telephone and online. The responses will help the Council in its decision making and ensure we are offering the best service we can for people in Selwyn.
The survey is conducted independently of Council by research company Research First, who have carried out the survey in several previous years.
Results of the survey are released publicly every year, usually around September. Previous survey results can be found on the Council website at: www.selwyn.govt.nz/your-council/residents-survey.
Anyone can complete the online survey. The survey will be open until Wednesday 11 August 2021.
