Consultation has concluded
We want to hear your feedback on a future large park for Selwyn!
Does it have big trees or a botanical garden? Are there sports fields? Is there a large space for concerts and events? An area for farm animals or a built-in dog park?
Let us know what experiences you would like to have at this park. Your views will help shape the development of this park.
The future park will be located in the outskirts of Rolleston, on Council owned land near the corner of Levi and Weedons Roads.
About eight years ago Selwyn District Council secured this land to transform into a large-scale public park to accommodate the needs of our rapidly growing community.
The first stage of this new park will be around 35Ha in size. The completed park will be large enough to provide a wide range of informal recreation, play, sport, active recreation, ecology and community activities.
Park development works are expected to commence in 2025/2026, after master planning of the new park is completed.
The survey is open until 10pm Monday 4 March 2024.
