Sensory space
CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.
A sensory space is an area which engages all the senses – sight, touch, sound, smell and taste.
The proposed sensory space will provide a place the whole community can use and enjoy, including those with diverse needs.
Many unique design features are included in the proposals such as:
- Large, easy-to-follow pathways
- Non-toxic fragrant plantings
- Raised plantings at a higher level for easy access
- Non-toxic edible plants
- Design features which make use of colour and can be manipulated
- Water fountain
- A range of seating styles and heights
- Sound and colour features
The images provided show just a few examples of what might be included in the sensory space. If you have any other feedback on this space, please click here to make an online submission.
