Selwyn District Council is currently undertaking research into social needs, services and priorities in the Selwyn district. Council also wants to understand what social wellbeing services and supports are being delivered in Selwyn and what service gaps exist. This piece of research is intended to inform Council’s advocacy to relevant organisations and funders. Council would greatly appreciate you letting us know about social wellbeing services and supports available, and any gaps that exist, in Selwyn from your/your organisation’s perspective. Council is keen to see service access available for children, young people and families who need it, and especially where this takes an early intervention / preventative approach.
To help us do this, Council is undertaking two surveys and a series of interviews. This survey is to better understand what wellbeing services are already working in Selwyn to respond to the needs of families, children, young people and / or parents. We need your thoughts and ideas about the best way to deliver social services in Selwyn, the kinds of services available and needed and where /and for whom, in Selwyn.
Council is also keen to find out about potential partnership and collaborative approaches that are already in place and / or could be developed / enhanced.
Please feel free to discuss this survey with your agency colleagues and seek input as appropriate. Alternatively it may be that one agency has three staff members or volunteers complete the survey as they are responsible for different types of work within the agency, and that is fine, feel free to distribute the link within your agency as appropriate.
It will take 10 – 15 minutes to complete this survey.
All responses are due by 5pm on 28 April 2021.
