Concern for school children crossing our roads
Darfield High School students are the students I have seen that give me the greatest concern. I have seen some near misses outside of Darfield High as students cross over the roads directly outsde of the school and also as they are crossing over the main road outside of the Trinity Church. I was parked over the road one day from the High School to collect my own daughter, a year seven and she stepped to soon onto the road in front of a driver just having pulled out. I was so grateful the driver was driving slow and with awareness that she managed to stop. Not all the drivers I have seen outside of the school drive with as much consideration for the students.
