    We moved to Rolleston nearly 3 years ago and live in a lifestyle village. After living in Christchurch for many years, we moved to Rolleston which offers a quieter lifestyle as well as access to everything we need. Christchurch is still only about 20 minutes away via the motorway so is ideal for us.

    My wife and I moved from the UK to NZ in 1981. My wife is a New Zealander. Originally the plan was to stay short term but in the end we stayed permanently. Our children were born here, raised and schooled in Sheffield and Darfield.

    I became a New Zealand citizen ten years ago and am now more Kiwi than POM! I would like SDC to do more for their smaller rural settlements.     Famiy settled here by 1860 (where else would one be)

    But shame about the lack of public transport outside Rolleston. If only there were connecting buses into Rolleston so people could bus into there and on to Christchurch instead of driving.... A train from Rolleston would be great too 🌞
